Oregon Wedding Photographer provides list of amazing wedding venues in Sandy, Oregon near Mt Hood

As a wedding photographer in the Sandy, Oregon area I have been so fortunate over the years to capture weddings in SO many amazing places!

Best Mt Hood Wedding Venues

I have been wanting to make this post for a long time, and am so excited to share a few of my favorite local wedding venues with newly engaged couples who may be planning a wedding. In addition to this list, a good portion of weddings I photograph aren’t even at traditional venues, but private properties, childhood homes, or family farms, so I will feature some of those in another post later, highlighting the vendor teams that helped make them amazing! Being one of Oregon’s top wedding photographers has blessed me with the ability too visit so many beautiful locations and I look forward to sharing them with you as you plan your wedding day!

Mountain View Weddings: Sandy, Oregon

Mountain View Weddings is a venue that is near and dear to my heart and I am so fortunate to have visited dozens of times over the years to photograph such beautiful celebrations! With a view of Mt Hood, wide open fields, gazebos, a gorgeous pond with a dock and plenty of seasonal wildflowers, this venue boasts some of the most gorgeous sunsets and backdrops I have seen. With a laid back, casual country vibe and the freedom to design and customize your whole day, Mountain View Weddings is definitely one to check out! (PS It was approximately 5000 degrees outside when I photographed the wedding below. lol but seriously! Anything can happen and I’m here for it!)

Knoll Crest Gardens: Sandy, Oregon

Knoll Crest Gardens is a gorgeously landscaped, formal garden venue with amazing features and details for your wedding day. Your guests can stroll pathways lined with lush flowers and greenery, sip wine next to a beautiful pond, or watch you twirl on the dance floor under flowing curtains and twinkling bistro lights. This is truly a magical wedding venue. You can learn more about Knoll Crest Gardens here.

Clackamas River Farm: Eagle Creek, Oregon

Clackamas River Farm is a beautiful, historic wedding venue located along the banks of the Clackamas River in Eagle Creek, Oregon. This venue is amazingly private, features a barn, a beautifully restored historic Victorian farmhouse, a carriage house and an old grain silo plus has grounds landscaped with flowers, trees, shrubbery and other natural beauty. Clackamas River Farm has no shortage of photo ops and plenty of room for your guests to kick back and have a great time.

Camp Namanu: Sandy, Oregon

Want to get married at a summer camp along the banks of a river? Yes please! As a child, I went to Camp Namanu every year so when they started hosting weddings a while back I was SO EXCITED to go check out the space. Rustic cabins and Steiner cabin style lodges await your guests, along with nature trails, the river, a pond, meadows, forest and some of the most fun and unique wedding experiences you can have. Fun fact: My 3 oldest kids modeled in this photoshoot; I didn’t know it at the time but I was expecting my 4th!

The Bell Tower Chapel, Boring, Oregon

This is the CUTEST little white chapel around and I’ve photographed lots of weddings here! There isn’t a ton of room but it is so charming and historical, so if that’s your vibe it makes for some amazing photos!

Alpine Events, Rhododendron, Oregon

This special space is more for receptions, rehearsals and smaller events but there are plenty of places to elope outside beforehand if you so desire! I am excited to photograph more beautiful events at Alpine Events! (PS: If you need catering, their food, (Busy Bee Catering) is THE BEST FOOD IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD.

The Sandy River Airport, Sandy, Oregon

This little airport is adorable and the great backdrop for your special day! Vintage planes, a clean and well lit covered space for receptions, great view of Mt Hood and open fields facing the sunset are all features of this great venue. Another fun fact; the Sandy River Airport is run by the Hoffman Family… who star on the show Gold Rush!

Wonser Woods: Estacada, Oregon

Wonser Woods Estate is technically no longer hosting weddings after 2021, but the Wonsers are one of my favorite families and this is one of my my most favorite venues so they are included in this list! I will so miss photographing weddings at this amazing place.

Timberline Lodge: Mt. Hood, Oregon

Timberline Lodge weddings are so gorgeous and special. I have been fortunate to photograph many over the years, and at all different times of the year. One of the most memorable was this gorgeous New Year’s Day wedding at the Silcox Hut, which sits about a mile above Timberline Lodge. You and your guests (and your lucky AF photographer) get to ride A SNOW CAT up to your wedding venue, which by the way, is on the top of a mountain.

The whole place is amazing though. Inside and around the historic Lodge, the grounds, there are several ceremony spots depending on the season and group size (fireside elopement and brunch? Yes please!) It is my understanding that this is a very all inclusive venue (they provide delicious (omg seriously) food, beverage service, rentals, cake, flowers etc. but don’t quote me on that.

Redland Family Farm: Oregon City, Oregon

Ok ok… it’s not Sandy/Mt. Hood but Redland Family Farm is a GORGEOUS wedding venue and very well put together. The bridal suite is elegant, the dining area has amazing lighting, the barn doors are amazing… and the dance floor is well protected which makes for good evening light as well.

The Inn at Avonlea: Sandy, Oregon

If you are looking for a gorgeous country wedding venue with a rustic red barn, rolling hills and a clear view of Mt. Hood, this one’s for you! The Inn at Avonlea is so special, with photo ops everywhere you look!

Skibowl, Mt Hood Oregon

Skibowl, a popular local ski resort on Mt. Hood, is available as a wedding venue in the summer! I have been fortunate to photograph several beautiful celebrations here. There’s nothing more breathtaking than riding the chair lift to your first look location with Mt Hood looming in the background.

Mt Hood Center, Boring, Oregon

The Mt Hood Center is a newly remodeled venue in the Boring, Oregon area which is about 45 minutes from Portland. This venue has gorgeous options for both inside, outside, a ballroom with amazing lighting, a greenhouse, a patchwork wall and more!
