Grace & Leon’s Redwood Deck Wedding | Portland Oregon Wedding Photographer
The Venue: Redwood Deck at Hoyt Arboretum
The Redwood Deck at Hoyt Arboretum is a hidden gem for Portland weddings. Nestled among 70 redwood trees, including coast redwoods and giant sequoias, this rustic wooden platform offers a serene forest backdrop, perfect for intimate ceremonies (up to 100 guests). Located in Washington Park, it feels worlds away from the city, yet it’s just a 10-minute drive from downtown Portland. Grace and Leon chose this venue for its natural beauty and tranquility, ideal for their small celebration. The deck’s accessibility via the Redwood Trail and its option to pair with the Wedding Meadow made it a photographer’s dream, with soft, cloudy light perfect for vibrant photos. Note: The Redwood Deck lacks power and restrooms, so plan for weekday bookings to avoid crowds, per Portland Parks regulations. Contact Portland Parks & Recreation at (503) 823-2525 for reservations.
