Pulse Fitness and Strength Voted Best Fitness Club in Sandy, Oregon
I recently did some branding and marketing photos of a great new gym in Sandy, Oregon that I joined this past fall, called Pulse Fitness and Strength. Pulse is located at 35900 Industrial Way, Sandy, OR 97055 right behind the Fred Meyer gas station, on the way to the movie theater. Pulse Fitness and the owners, Matt & Tiffany are honestly some of the loveliest people I’ve ever met, and recently won several “Best Of” awards that you can read about here:

For the past two years, weight lifting and group fitness classes have become part of my daily routine. I remember the first class I walked into; I was all by myself, it was 5am and there was definitely some “first day of school” anxiety creeping in. That soon faded away as I got to know the class regulars, the instructors, and discovered all of the great benefits of working out as a group. First, the accountability is high… as in, you have 15-20 workout buddies and if you miss a day, someone is probably going to text you about it. Second there’s some competitive spirit within the class. Often we do partner drills, race, or try to get through as many rounds as possible which tends to push me MUCH harder than I would push myself if working out alone. There are definitely more than three benefits, but the third for me, is that the classes keep me engaged and time goes by quickly. I always have someone to talk to in the group as many of us have become friends.
Pulse Fitness has everything you could want in a gym! There is a fully stocked weight floor with every machine, tool, or attachment you could think of plus a second floor of cardio machines. Kids are encouraged to work out and are included in the full memberships as an incentive for families to pursue healthy habits together. Pulse has an amazing variety of instructor led group classes and though sometimes I do wonder if they are trying to kill me, I consider all of the instructors my friends. It’s very easy to stay accountable when the instructor is someone you know and care about. My personal routine currently looks like this:
Monday: 5am: Lower Body Weight Training Class 60 mins
Tuesday: 5am: 30 Min Spin / 30 Min Bootcamp + 6pm Pilates
Wednesday: 5am Upper Body Weight Training Class 60 Mins + 6pm Yoga
Thursday: 5am: 30 Min Spin / 30 Min Bootcamp + weight room (lower body) 6pm Pilates
Friday: 5am: Metcon (Metabolic Conditioning aka Torture Time) 60 mins
