Hannah and Mason were married at Red Barn Villa in Oregon City on Saturday, September 12, 2026, with hot pink dahlias, navy suits, a rose petal aisle, and a barn full of line dancing. I am Becky Chambers of Studio 623 Photography in Sandy, Oregon, and I photographed their sunrise engagement session at Trillium Lake back in May, so this day felt like the second half of a good conversation.
Where is Red Barn Villa?
Red Barn Villa is a wedding venue at 15701 S Redland Road on the east side of Oregon City, Oregon, about forty minutes from Portland. It opened in 2016 on a property with a red barn, formal gardens with tall hedges and fountains, and a covered patio that holds a ceremony under cover. The barn seats up to 160 for a reception, and the patio and gardens hold up to 300 outdoors, so it works for a big guest list and for Oregon weather.
What is a wedding at Red Barn Villa like?
It flows from the gardens to the patio to the barn without anyone getting in a car. Hannah and Mason had their first look on the garden paths, where the hedges make a natural archway for portraits. The ceremony was on the covered patio under a floral arch, with rose petals down the aisle and the gardens behind the guests. Cocktail hour spilled onto the patio with signature drinks and an appetizer table, and dinner and dancing were inside the barn under white draping and chandeliers. Sunset came at 7:27 that night, and the string lights took over from there.
What made Hannah and Mason's wedding day their own?
Color, for one. Hannah's bouquet from Rose and Joy Florals was pink dahlias with a photo charm tied to the handle, the bridesmaids wore hot pink, and the arch was pink and burgundy blooms against white drape. Then the wedding party, who ran the field, tossed bouquets in the air, and lifted Mason off the ground. Then the reception: 808 Grindz on the buffet, a cake from FAT Cupcake on a wooden cart, two signature drinks with the couple's names on the menu, and a line dancing lesson from Nicki that got the whole barn moving. The night ended with sparklers down the drive.
Why book a barn wedding venue near Portland?
Because Oregon weather is a coin flip and a barn venue takes the flip out of it. Red Barn Villa gives you gardens and an open patio when the sky cooperates and a covered ceremony site and an indoor reception when it does not, all on one property. For photos that means garden light in the afternoon, open field light for the wedding party, and warm barn light at night, which is about as much variety as one property can give you.
