What to Expect
Our Sandy studio is designed for comfort, with a cozy setup for your newborn’s safety. Sessions typically last 1-2 hours, allowing time for feeding, soothing, and capturing perfect shots. We use soft lighting and gentle poses to highlight your baby’s beauty. Ideally I like to photograph newborn babies as soon as possible after birth, but within the first two weeks is critical for the cute newborn poses shown here. After 2-3 weeks I can still photograph baby in more of a lifestyle type setting in my studio, with less expectations surrounding the sleepy curled up poses.
Preparation Tips
Feed Before Arrival: A full baby is a happy baby. Feed your newborn right before the session to keep them calm.
Bring Comfort Items: A pacifier, milk, formula, or favorite blanket can soothe your baby during the shoot.
Choose Simple Outfits: Opt for soft, neutral-colored outfits like onesies in white, beige, or pastels to keep the focus on your baby. I also like to avoid elastics, tight fitting, or hard to remove items.
Plan for Siblings: If siblings are joining, bring snacks and a quiet activity to keep them engaged.
