Newborn Photography in Sandy, Oregon

I’m Becky Chambers, owner of Studio 623 Photography in Sandy, Oregon. I have photographed newborns for over 20 years and raised four babies of my own, so I know exactly how fast these first weeks blur past. My studio is a warm, quiet room where you get to exhale. You hold your baby. I watch the light. Families come to me from Sandy, Gresham, Portland, Welches, and all along the Mt. Hood corridor.

When is the best time for a newborn photoshoot?

Five to fourteen days after birth, while your baby is still sleepy and curled up. Reach out during your second or third trimester and I will hold a date near your due date. Once your little one arrives, we lock in the exact day. Many families pair a maternity session with newborn photos so the whole first chapter stays together.

What happens during your session?

Plan on one to two hours, and most of that is feeding, soothing, and letting your baby set the pace. I bring the props and guide every pose, and family and sibling photos are always welcome. Bring a favorite blanket or outfit if you want a piece of home in the photos, then sink into the comfy chair and relax.

How do I prepare for a smooth session?

Feed your baby about 30 minutes before you arrive, and keep outfits simple and neutral. Pack diapers, a pacifier, and anything sentimental you want tucked into a photo. I have wraps and hats here if you need them. You bring the baby. I handle the rest.

Why choose Studio 623 for newborn photos?

Because sleepy babies do best in a calm room with a photographer who has done this for over 20 years. My Sandy studio is warm, quiet, and stocked with soft wraps and simple props, so your baby’s tiny details stay the star. We move at your baby’s pace, safety first, no rush, no fuss.
