Hi, I'm Becky. I'm a newborn photographer based in Sandy, Oregon, and I have photographed babies for over twenty years. Four of my own came through this studio too, so I know exactly how tender and tired those first weeks feel. Mostly I want you to exhale. You hold your baby, I watch the light, and we let the small things happen on their own. The yawn. The curled fingers. The way they fold right back into you.
Newborn Photos in Sandy, Oregon for Your Baby's First Two Weeks
When is the best time for a newborn session?
The first two weeks. Babies are at their sleepiest and curliest in those early days, which makes for soft, calm photos.
Reach out while you are still pregnant if you can. I hold a spot near your due date, then we lock in the exact day once your little one arrives.
What happens during a newborn session?
Plan for one to two hours, give or take. That sounds long, but most of it is unhurried. A little feeding, a little soothing, some gentle posing, a few simple setups.
The studio is right here in Sandy, heated and quiet, with everything we need already on hand. Bring the baby, a couple of feeding supplies, and yourself. I take care of the rest.
You are welcome in front of the camera too. Some parents want a few with the whole family. Some would rather sink into the comfy chair and watch. Both are right.
Ready when you are
If you are in the Portland, Clackamas, or Sandy area and your little one is on the way, send me a note early. The first weeks move fast, and I would love to save you a spot. Reach out to Studio 623 anytime, and we will figure out the timing together.
